What a fantastic five weeks we had in the States! Again, a huge thank you to everyone who showed us such amazing hospitality and generosity! It was so good to see so many of you and to share what God is doing here in North Wales. Also, it was very encouraging to make new friends and have the possibility of new partners and supporters. Please continue to prayerfully consider taking us on for support. Here are some pictures from our time in the States.

Well, now that we’ve been back in Wales for a little over a week, I think we have all recovered from our jetlag.

Even though our body clocks were upside down that first week, we’ve still jumped right back into the height of Christmas outreach preparations. This Saturday Miriam and I are helping our church lead an exciting community project called “The Big Gift.”
In the past, events similar to this have seen a good turn out from the community, and we’re hoping for this to be the case again as we try to build off of the relationships we have established through ministries like Lego Club, and Shuffle and Shake.

Speaking of which, at Shuffle and Shake, we’re also preparing for a Christmas party by doing a life-sized version of the game CLUE (aka Cluedo here in the UK). The leaders are going to dress up as Colonel Mustard and the gang and the youth are going to have to find out “Whodunnit.” I look forward to sharing with you how these events went in our next newsletter.

While we’ve been the States our Welsh speaking skills have taken a bit of a hit. We’ve gotten back into the groove of things with our weekly Welsh class but it’s tricky trying to get the Welsh parts of our brains switched back on. I know several of you have of you have already given us a special Christmas gift (for which we’re very thankful) but if there happened to be someone looking to give us something special this Christmas, my Christmas wish would be to go on residential course at Nant Gwrtheyrn. It’s a retreat centre where you speak only Welsh for 5 days. It’s something that we’ve thought we’d like to do but just could never afford it.

Anyway, if you’re looking for a way to bless us that would be amazing…but again you all have already been so generous this last month. Again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts and Merry Christmas. Or as they say in Wales, “Nadolig Llawen”
